Winter !

Back on December 13th I bitched about how how the world was sick that winter was not supposed to be mild and raining. Now After 4 weeks of relentless cold I feel like telling everyone to go Idle your cars, Find all the cans containing CFC's that you can find and a let em rip !

Let's rip that hole in the sky bigger so I can have a tropical winter !!
I am just kidding. Its Canadien tradition to bitch about the cold. But there seems to be a window of relief coming. This Saturday. 0 to + 1 for the High. People should be running around in t-shirts. Basking in the heat of the sun !! In October when it hits 0 or - 1 everyone is complaining about the Cold. at the end of February when it finally comes back up to 0 people are estatic in the coming spring and the warmth it brings. Perhaps it goes to the old cliche that the grass is always greener. But every year like kids. We are happy to feel the heat of the sun on a mild day in winter.

So Saturday all you Frozen Canadian Folks ! Should get the hell outside, and blow the stink off you. Enjoy a bit of fresh air , clean fresh air, because before you know it. The winter long collectoin of Dog Nuggets will start to thaw, then that fresh air become fresh with a different odour !!!!

Happy Spring Everyone its just around the corner ..... I can feel it !

Finally a circumvention for direct file transfer between MSN Mess. and a Linux machine that works !! I have been a gaim user for so long. But the biggest downfall of the Proggy was the less that compatible file transfer with windows machines. But !! AMSN has done the job perfectly. So for anyone running Nix flava OS. I suggest AMSN as your messenger service for connectivity with MSN contacts.

Ubuntu - Kubuntu - Xubuntu

So i installed ubuntu like with ease. But..... I am having issues with the mic. This seems to be the only issue. Also changing over to KDE front end is less than 100 %. Forutunatly Ubuntu also has developed Kubuntu.. Ubuntu with a prefab KDE front end instead of the Gnome front end. So i am downloading and install image for a reinstallation. Trial and error but. For sure this is the way to find just the right user end to suit my needs. I do reccomend this version of linux to anyone wishing to try linux. It is simply that easy. So for now that is my report on the quest of a linux version for my Dimension 8400.
